Howard Corporate Centre Participates in the 4th Annual Nonprofit Forum

Howard Corporate Centre was among a diverse group of participants at the 4th Annual Nonprofit Forum, hosted by Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards.  Held at Anne Arundel Community College on June 10, the forum brought together nonprofit, government, business and foundation leaders to help nonprofits develop winning strategies to Build, Grow, Fund and Sustain their organizations.

Founder LaTaunya Howard was a co-panelist for the session “The Back Office and Other Sharing Opportunities”, which discussed ways that nonprofits can streamline administrative costs while positively affecting their ability to meet growing service demands.

Howard Corporate Centre is honored to have been a part of such an important event, and will continue to support nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve.

Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (MD-4) visited Howard Corporate Centre as part of her Small Business Listening Tour. During her visit, Congresswoman Edwards was given a tour of the center and was introduced to other business owners who utilize Howard Corporate Centre’s services. We are truly honored to have been included on Congresswoman Edwards’ tour, and look forward to continuing to work with businesses and other entities to promote economic growth throughout the Baltimore-Washington Corridor.

We are honored to have recently welcomed The Honorable Craig A. Moe, Mayor of the City of Laurel, Maryland, to Howard Corporate Centre.  During Mayor Moe’s visit, Founder LaTaunya Howard provided a tour of the facility and discussed the array of solutions we offer to support business needs.  Mayor Moe was also introduced to other entrepreneurs who use Howard Corporate Centre’s services, which led to an engaging discussion about each business’ unique services and some of the trends and future plans for the City of Laurel.  We are truly appreciative to Mayor Moe for his time and interest, and look forward to continuing to support businesses within the City of Laurel and throughout the Baltimore-Washington Corridor.

Prince George’s County’s Supplier Development & Diversity Division (SDDD) is getting “back to the basics” with a FREE, introductory and interactive course designed to teach business owners the basic concepts and principles of budgeting and how they can be applied to day-to-day operations.

*Ways to use the budget as a performance evaluation tool*

Founder LaTaunya Howard named “Volunteer of the Year” by HandsOn Greater DC Cares

On April 19, 2012, LaTaunya Howard, the Founder & Managing Member of Howard Corporate Centre, was presented with the 2012 HandsOn Greater DC Cares Volunteer of the Year Award, highlighting her significant work as a Skilled Volunteer. “It makes me feel good,” Howard said. “I believe where much is given, much is required and regardless of your circumstances, you always have something you can give and offer to others, so I just think it’s something we all have to do.”

The event recognized exceptional volunteerism from businesses, non-profits and individuals who serve the greater DC area.
